Why use the common cup?

HOLY COMMUNION In Holy Communion we receive the true body and blood or our Lord for the forgiveness of sins. It is for those who have been baptized. If you do not have a church home or if you are unsure if your church is in confessional fellowship with this church and you would like to commune, please see Pastor before the service. You may, instead, come forward for a blessing; please cross your arms over your chest as you kneel at the altar. We encourage the use of the common chalice as our Lord instructed. However, we also offer individual cups for those who feel that they need one.
